Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lifethread mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Table4 (table4.ai), William Keck (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
1. The Service
Lifethread is a personal life dashboard for iOS that may include spending views, health summaries, travel memories, package tracking, receipt matching, and optional AI-generated insights. The Service is currently offered as a private beta; features may change, be added, or be removed without notice.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is not intended for children under 13.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for securing your device.
- Optional integrations (bank linking via Plaid, Gmail, Health, Photos, Location) require separate consent and may be revoked at any time.
- You may delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account). Deletion is permanent and removes your data from our servers as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate others.
4. Not professional advice
Lifethread is for personal informational and organizational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, medical, health, legal, or other professional advice. Do not rely on the Service for decisions about investments, health treatment, taxes, or compliance. Consult qualified professionals for those matters.
Financial data is supplied by third parties (including Plaid and your financial institutions). We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of that data.
5. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party products and services, including but not limited to:
- Plaid — read-only financial account linking
- Google — Sign-In and optional Gmail access
- Apple — Sign-In, HealthKit, and on-device frameworks
- AI, mapping, weather, and automotive data providers — as described in our Privacy Policy
Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their actions. You authorize us to exchange information with these providers as needed to operate features you enable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Access or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
- Upload malware or attempt to bypass security measures
- Use the Service to harass, harm, or mislead others
7. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you provide (such as notes, feedback, and photos on your device). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy—for example, to match a receipt to a transaction or display a trip summary.
You represent that you have the right to connect any accounts (financial, email, or otherwise) that you link to Lifethread.
8. Beta terms
Beta software may contain errors, lose data, or change without notice. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without compensation. We may limit or revoke beta access at any time.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Lifethread name, branding, software, and design, is owned by Table4 and William Keck and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DATA FROM THIRD PARTIES IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, sections that by their nature should survive will survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law).
14. Apple App Store
If you downloaded Lifethread from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above. Material changes may be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
